Our Fees

Below you can find details of our fees for Jewellery Insurance Valuation Services which are charged per item basis. We will confirm the total cost to you before we begin to assure you are happy. All costs include a fully comprehensive digital valuation.

Standard item

First standard item fee is £80.

Standard items are gold/ diamond/ gem set pieces. Exceptional items may incur additional fees.

Subsequent items

Subsequent items are those items received at the same time as the first item. These are charged at £60 each.

Exceptional items

Items requiring in-depth research or valued between £10,000 and £20,000 may incur additional service fees.

For items valued over £20,000, pricing is available on request (POA) and will be discussed during the initial consultation.

Grouped items

For grouped items with a total insurance value under £1,000, we offer a flat rate of £100 per group (maximum of five items per group).

Additional services

Printed document

If you require a printed copy of the valuation, this can be arranged for an additional fee of £25, including postage charge.

Priority Completion

If the valuation is required within seven working days of the valuation appointment, £60 additional charge will be applied.

Home visit fee

Home visits charge is inclusive of the valuation fee up to 20miles. Journey of over 20miles will be charged an additional £0.45 per mile. This will be discussed during initial contact.

Re- valuation

If you are a returning customer and would like a re-valuation of your items (within 4 years of the last valuation) the valuation fee is halved.

General assessment

If you have jewellery items that you have been left or would simply like to know more about, we can arrange an appointment and advise on what you may have. We can test metals, assess any gemstones and diamonds.

The charge for this service is £150 per hour; however if you decide to have some of these items valued for insurance, this fee will be reduced.

Other types of valuations

Private sale, Capital Gains Tax, Probate, Family division, Post Loss Assessment are all types of valuation which may involve large numbers of low value items. These can be grouped into ‘bundles’. Please contact us to discuss details. Fees start from £130.
