Our principal valuer, Ilona Stachowiak, has been in the jewellery trade since 2015 and holds multiple professional qualifications, including Gemmology Foundation and Diamond Grading with Gem-A, a First-Class BSc (Hons) in Gemmology and Jewellery, and GIA Applied Jewellery Professional status.
Ilona is also a Consultant Valuer for Jewellery Advisory Services (JAS) contributing to expert witness work, specialist research, and complex valuation projects across the UK.
We offer flexible appointments, including home visits, and every valuation is completed with precision, discretion, and full compliance with NAJ and IRV standards.
Ilona is a Member of the National Association of Jewellers (MIRV), a Diamond Member of the Gemmological Association of Great Britain (DGA), and an independent valuer trusted throughout Warwickshire and the Midlands.
As part of her professional practice, Ilona also works in collaboration with Jewellery Advisory Services (JAS) — a nationally recognised valuation and consultancy firm known for its integrity, precision, and dedication to excellence.
In 2025, JAS was honoured with the National Association of Jewellers’ “Team of the Year” Award, acknowledging their outstanding professionalism and contribution to the UK jewellery industry. As a Consultant Valuer within the team, Ilona contributes her expertise to specialist research, complex valuation cases, and expert witness work — further enhancing the quality and depth of service offered through IAS Valuations & Consulting.

What is a valuation?
It is a legally binding document providing a description of the item and its value for the requested purpose. The valuation is completed by an expert using specialist equipment and thorough research. On completion, we provide a full written valuation including photographs of the items assessed, which are presented to you in form of a secured PDF file or printed A4 bound folder.
